What makes a shipping container a “One Trip” container? They are the same as any other shipping container. However, they are not utilized for international shipping service. They are manufactured at the factory, loaded with cargo one time and shipped to the states. Once a one trip container arrives in the US, it’s then sold in the aftermarket. When you purchase a one trip shipping container, you are basically getting a new shipping container. One trip containers or new containers are virtually blemish free. They may have a few minor scrapes, scratches, dents or dings. This is normal. They are still handled to/from the port, loaded with cargo and stacked on a container vessel for shipment. However, they do not get exposed to the elements for years on end, as they do not remain in shipping service. If you are concerned about the condition of a used container, a one trip container or new container is a great option. They look great and come standard with a lock box on the double doors. One Trip or New Containers are available in 10ft, 20ft and 40ft sizes. Depending on availability, they also come in both standard height (8’6”H) and high cube (9’6”H) versions.
